1997, Albania. The civil war has begun. A small community gets organized in order to join their relatives in Italy. And so does Arthur, a young musician, with the aim of reuniting with his mom. Once he gets in Bari (city in the south-east of Italy), goes to find the Italian family that takes care of his mother. Meanwhile Luisa fights back the cancer, Arthur dreams of taking the Italian citizenship. Arthur wakes up in hospital bed a few years later. His mom's condition has worsen and her last wish is to see one last time her home-country. Arthur has one last challenge: get through the sea towards the opposite direction.
